A key task in conservation and restoration is the surface cleaning.
Since decades, Deffner & Johann has been working closely with scientists and restorers to ensure that cleaning requirements are fully taken into account in the product range, innovations and new application methods are made available, at an early stage. We do not limit ourselves to established or traditional methods for dry, wet, abrasive and thermal cleaning. Rather, you will find products for innovative practices. We do continuously expand the range of dry cleaning sponges or non-wovens. Furthermore, technical developments such as vacuum cleaning and -washing techniques, ultrasound systems as well as soft particle blasting make their way from Deffner & Johann’s cooperation with universities, manufacturers and practitioners into every day practice.
