ARBOCEL®

Since the late 1980s, research projects on the desalination of cultural assets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have contributed to the establishment of ARBOCEL® in restoration practice. In cooperation with state offices for cultural heritage and leading restoration companies, the method has gained broad professional recognition.
ARBOCEL® cellulose fibres are now used in numerous research projects, master's theses, seminars and workshops as a proven quality product in surface cleaning.

Particularly noteworthy is the development of soft particle blasting for paper cleaning at Cologne University of Applied Sciences is particularly noteworthy. Following extensive testing of materials and their cleaning properties, ARBOCEL® soft blasting media have proven to be particularly gentle and extremely effective.
Meanwhile, the process is recognised worldwide as a special cleaning method and is successfully used to clean paintings, archival materials, sculptures, contemporary art, and archaeological and zoological collections.
