Jin Shofu (wheat starch from Japan) is a traditional, high-quality product for gluing paper and cardboard, as well as for the restoration of paintings, e.g. for bonding cracks.

Product Details

Preparation

Mix about 1 part Jin Shofu and 2 - 4 parts water
Cook in a water bath at around 60 - 70 °C until the mixture becomes clear (gelatinisation)
Strain through a sieve, preferably a Japanese paste sieve

Store the starch paste in a cool place in sealed containers.
