SHAKE it, blast it, it‘s clean

Logo Shakeinconservation Together with SHAKEINCONSERVATION SHAKEINCONSERVATION, a non-profit organization to connect students and young professionals in conservation in Belgium, Deffner & Johann hosted a two day workshop on soft particle cleaning at the University of Antwerp.

Maren Dümmler a specialist on paper conservation from Germany held the course and gave insights in experience and practices of this very versatile cleaning method. Participants learned about soft particle cleaning and how to best use it on a broad range of materials.
In the second part of the course participants were asked to apply soft particle cleaning on objects and surfaces they brought from their work.

Deffner & Johann - Workshop zum Weichpartikelstrahlen in Antwerpen The result and the feedback was very positive – "A great technique, it will help me a lot in my daily work”, so the feedback of participants from Belgium and the Netherlands.
