Synthetic Bristles

For centuries, artists worldwide have valued the so-called Chungking bristle for impasto painting. However, this natural material has become increasingly rare over the years and thus also considerably more expensive.
After years of development, da Vinci has now come up with the new CHUNEO line, a high-quality alternative made of synthetic material that comes very close to the natural model both visually and, above all, in application.
The strong, yet flexible and almost indestructible fibre trim retains its shape and bristle-like structure even during intensive use.

This new line is ideally suited for all viscous colours and rough painting surfaces and is therefore the perfect tool for oil painting. In addition, the synthetic material is much easier to clean than brushes made of natural bristle.
