Practical Workshop Multi-Spectral Analysis with XpeCAM®

In cooperation with XpectralTEK, Deffner & Johann organised three practical workshops on multi-spectral analysis with XpeCAM in October.

Learn how to successfully use the XpeCAM X02 and the LAMPA SET with the right tools and tips for the non-destructive analysis of works of art.

XpeCAM® is a multispectral solution developed for the non-destructive analysis of works of art. It enables the non-contact, simple analysis and classification of pigments, painting materials and varnish, their mapping in high-resolution photos and the creation of condition reports. The system works in the colour spectrum from UV (ultraviolet) through VIS (visible to humans) to IR (infrared).

In the workshop, the system, its application and the evaluation of the data obtained will be presented. The setup and alignment of the XpeCAM X02 with the LAMPA set will be demonstrated. Subsequently, various exhibits will be analysed/photographed/multi-spectral photo files created. Data obtained from existing paintings or drawings are uploaded to the XpeCAM® platform and processed or evaluated there. Reports are created based on the generated data.
