Water based, finely dispersed acrylic resin emulsion without any added organic solvents.
The Sealer 123A is used to reduce the capillarity of absorbent substrates and to ensure adhesion to subsequent coats, e. g. for gilding on plaster, stone and wood.
The Kölner KGGG System was developed for high-quality mirror gilding and consists of three components:
- Sealer 123A or P
- Fond
- Size (Colnasol size can be used as an alternative to Adhesol size)
All components can be diluted with water and are applied cold one after the other.
The sealant is used diluted with water (1 : 0.5 - max 1 : 1.5) to reduce the absorption of substrates (plaster, stone and wood) and to improve the adhesion of the subsequent foundation layers. No shiny film should be visible on the surface after drying.
Sealer 123A can be used as an anti-oxidation coating over silver or metal leaf (diluted about 20 - 50 % with water).
