Lascaux Heat Seal Adhesive 375 Dry Mixture, 1,65 kg

Properties as Lascaux Hot Sealing Adhesive 375. For five litres of finished solution, dissolve the dry mix in toluene.

Dry mixture:
To prepare a 40 % solution, proceed as follows:

1. In a sealable container, add 1,65 kg of Heat Seal Adhesive 375 Dry Mix (including resin, which is enclosed in a plastic bag), 1,5 kg (or 1,7 litres) of toluene. The lid is to be put on without closing the container.
2. This mixture is soaked for at least 12 hours.
3. Afterwards, the mixture is heated to approx. 60 °C in a water bath with good ventilation.
4. A homogeneous solution is achieved by stirring occasionally.
5. Afterwards, 1 kg (or 1,4 l) of petroleum ether 100/140 is added successively under slow stirring until again a homogeneous solution is obtained.
6. Warming the solution during use usually facilitates processing and is recommended.
7. This procedure yields approx. 4,15 kg (or 5 l) 40 % Heat Seal Adhesive 375 solution. The container must be kept tightly closed during cooling.
8. Further processing of the Heat Seal Adhesive 375 solution is carried out according to the description for ready-to-use Heat Seal Adhesive 375.

Store in a cool, dry place in a tightly closed container.
