PROSORB Cassette small, 40 % rH

PROSORB comes set to the desired humidity level. PROSORB is able to absorb water vapour as well as release it and thereby keeps the humidity value in display cabinets and transport containers constant over long periods. In most museums it is standard to place works of art of organic materials in an environment with between 40 and 60 % rH.

Technical Data:

• Chloride-free: PROSORB contains no lithium chloride, which is corrosive to metals, or dust, which by human touch could be transferred to works of art. PROSORB consists of 97 % SiO2 and 3 % Al2O3.
• Compact: 1 kg PROSORB has a volume of approx 1.5 l.
• The conditioning of PROSORB value is not highly temperature dependant. The specified value is conditioned to 20 °C. At 10 °C it is approx 1 - 1.5 % RH lower, at 30 °C approx 1 - 1.5 % RH higher.
• Bulk density: approx 0.7 kg/l; Pore volume: approx 0.5 ml/g; Breaking strength: over 200 N; Inside surface: approx 750 m2/g.

PROSORB Cartridges:

The panels are made from PET and vapour-permeable Tyvek non-woven fabric and are filled with PROSORB beads. Beads and cartridges are available preconditioned at no extra charge to either 40 %, 45 %, 50 %, 55 % or 60 % rH.
The conditioning value refers to 20 °C, with a tolerance of ± 2 % rH.
