The handcrafted gilding cushion is covered with the finest natural leather, which ensures precise cutting of the metal leaf with the gilding knife.
To prevent the wafer thin gold leaf from folding over at the slightest draught, a flexible plastic windscreen is attached to the cushion with press studs, which can be removed if necessary.
In addition, there is a holding strap for the thumb and the gilding knife on the reverse side of the pad.
The 15 x 22 cm size is ideal for all types of gold leaf up to 90 x 90 mm, while the larger 15 x 25 cm pad can also be used for genuine gold leaf in special sizes and for imitation leaf.
