Features of the mask
The 3M™ 6000 Series Double-Filter Mask is a lightweight, comfortable and economical reusable respiratory protection mask for professional use. When used in combination with suitable and approved 3M™ filters, it protects the respiratory tract against harmful particles, gases and vapours.
Depending on the filter used, the half-mask is suitable, for example, for work where dust, aerosols, solvent vapours, organic or inorganic gases and vapours, as well as other airborne contaminants, may be present. Typical areas of application include, amongst others, painting and coating work, grinding and machining work, handling solvents and chemicals, as well as maintenance, repair and cleaning work. The type and protection level of the filter must be selected according to the specific contaminant and its concentration.
The soft, elastomeric mask material ensures a comfortable fit, whilst the head harness with adjustable straps allows for individual adjustment. The flat design offers a good field of vision and makes the mask easy to use.
The 3M™ bayonet connector allows the half mask to be combined with a wide range of compatible 3M™ filters. It is designed for use with suitable filters from the 3M™ 2000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series, amongst others. This allows the respiratory protection to be configured according to the specific application and level of contamination.
Replaceable spare parts make it possible to replace worn or damaged components as and when required, allowing the mask to be used for the long term.
The 3M™ Series 6000 half mask is CE-marked and available in three sizes: Small (S), Medium (M) and Large (L).

Please note
So-called "coarse dust masks" do not protect you! Nevertheless, these masks are still widely used because they are cheap and the breathing resistance is pleasantly low. This face mask (the conventional name for the so-called "coarse dust masks") is not approved as respiratory protection. It neither offers protection from fine dusts and paint spray mist nor against released solvents and vapors.
